Al Bahah: Nature’s Paradise in Saudi Arabia

Al Bahah, a hidden jewel in Saudi Arabia’s southwest, is renowned for its amazing natural beauty and extensive cultural legacy. The area is a great place to escape the heat of the desert because of its breathtaking mountain ranges, verdant valleys, and mild climate. Situated atop the highest hill on the Arabian Peninsula, Al Soudah Park offers expansive views of the surrounding landscapes and is a popular tourist destination. In addition to being a delight for those who love the outdoors, the verdant surroundings provide a calm environment for those looking for a quiet getaway. For those wishing to see Saudi Arabia’s varied landscapes, Al Bahah is a must-visit location because of its distinctive combination of mountains, valleys, and historical landmarks.

Beyond its natural charm, Al Bahah has historical sites that honor the kingdom’s past and a rich cultural tapestry. With its unique architecture, the Shada Palace honours both the heritage of the area and the conventional Saudi Arabian style. Explore the bustling local marketplaces, such as the Al Bahah Souq, to take in the colourful atmosphere and buy handcrafted goods and mementoes. The old Al Mughamis Mosque, which displays the continuing architectural legacy of Al Bahah, adds even more value to the city’s historical significance. For those who are keen to see the various aspects of Saudi Arabia, Al Bahah provides a singular and engaging travel experience with its blend of natural and cultural treasures.

Package Information

Following immigration and customs at the airport in Al Baha, you can head straight to the BUDGET car rental desk and the car rental area. Once the automobile paperwork is completed, you will get the keys and be free to explore the area. Make your way to the hotel by car. Go to the hotel and check in. In AL Bahah for the night.

Breakfast at the hotel. We recommend exploring the Al-Bahah highlands today, which are situated more than 2000 meters above sea level. One possible place to start would be a visit to some of the classic stone houses found in the southern Arabian mountains. Next, we go to some incredible vantage spots from the nearby city of Baljureshi and the dizzying cliffs of the Sarawat mountain range in Al-Bahah. We drive down the cliff in the afternoon to arrive at Zee Ayn, one of Saudi Arabia's most famous sights. Zee Ayn, sometimes referred to as the Marble town, is perched atop a marble hill and provides a singular and captivating landscape.

After that, stroll around the 400-year-old village's cobblestone lanes as they pass past the tastefully decorated historic homes. Viewpoints spanning the valley, the Sarawat mountains, and the oasis are accessible from that location. The image from the picture postcard is completed by a verdant oasis encircling the base of the hill, which is irrigated by a nearby natural spring. The settlement got its name from an Arabic spring called Ayn, which flows continuously from the surrounding mountains to a number of reservoirs, each with its own name. Stay the night at Al-Bahah.

Breakfast at the hotel. If you've decided to rent a 4x4 vehicle, you can go to Sheda Mountain, which is 2222 meters high and a special location in the kingdom. We must travel down the cliffs from Al-Bahah and back up a winding road to the highest mountain settlement, Sheda, which offers breathtaking views, in order to reach this peak. We stop along the route to take in the views of the stunning Jebel Sheda granite peaks and the charming traditional towns perched atop the mountains.

You will also value the Jebel Sheda Reserve's nice, cold, slightly damp weather, which supports the growth of some uncommon tree and flower species. You can go on a cool trek down some rocky routes to his hidden locations, where the landscapes and foliage defy all preconceived notions about the desert region of Saudi Arabia. You are going to drive back for your departure at the end of the afternoon. You can return the vehicle at the AL BAHAH airport by going to the vehicle rental RETURN parking, giving your vehicle to the BUDGET team, and then finding your way to the departure area.
